Florilegium

A collection of excerpts from an author or several authors that represent the "flowers" or "best quotations" from those sources.

A collection of excerpts from an author or several authors that represent the "flowers" or "best quotations" from those sources. Similar to a miscellany, but with the emphasis on only including the important excerpts from an author's work, not entire works from that author. The plural form is "florilegia." The term is also sometimes anglicized as "florilegy."
